Three Decades of Making Parts Right.

Dun-Rite is a precision machine shop in Webberville, Michigan. Since 1995, we've been the shop engineers call when the part has to fit, function, and hold up — one-off, short run, or production. We handle milling, turning, grinding, inspection, and finishing in-house, so your part stays in one shop from the first cut through final delivery.
That's not the norm. Most shops our size outsource grinding, outsource inspection, or hit a volume ceiling that forces customers to find a second supplier. We've kept the full workflow under one roof on purpose — because fewer handoffs means shorter lead times, clearer accountability, and work that doesn't drift as it moves through the building.

Under One Roof

Mill, turn, grind, inspect, and finish - all done by our professional team.

Prototype to Production

Same shop, same fixtures, same people — from your first part to your ten-thousandth.

Since 1995

30+ years of the same approach: do the job right, communicate clearly, hit the date.
Machined With Precision

Custom Prototype Development

Short-run, high-precision prototype machining for engineers who can't afford a missed deadline. One-off parts, first articles, and proof-of-concept builds — with fast turnaround and real DFM feedback from the people actually making the part.
Specialty Chucking & Clamping

Specialized Workholding Solutions

Custom fixtures, jigs, and specialty chucking designed and built in-house. Grip harder, cut harder, and ship more parts per shift — with workholding designed around your part, not forced into an off-the-shelf template.
Built For Repeatability

Production Machining

Low-to mid-volume CNC production you can count on — run after run. Same quality on part one and part ten thousand. Tight-tolerance milling, turning, and grinding under one roof, with real documentation and honest communication throughout the program.
Also offering Precision Grinding and Design & Engineering Support. See our full capability breakdown on the capabilities page.

Our Bread and Butter

The Industries We Know Best.

We've spent three decades making parts for the industries where precision isn't optional. Aerospace tolerances. Medical documentation. Automotive throughput. Food processing's odd geometries and stainless demands. Agricultural and transportation components that have to hold up in the field.

Aerospace
Aerospace parts leave no room for guesswork. We help teams machine precise components, specialty fixtures, and short-run parts where fit, repeatability, and documentation matter.
Medical
Medical work demands clean execution and dependable accuracy. Dun-Rite supports teams that need precision components built to spec, inspected carefully, and handled with clear communication.
Automotive
From prototypes to repeat production runs, we help automotive teams keep parts moving. Our shop is built for tight timelines, practical problem-solving, and consistent results.
Food Processing
Food processing equipment often comes with odd geometries, stainless materials, and real-world wear. We machine parts and workholding solutions that are built to fit, function, and last.
Agriculture & Transportation
Agriculture and transportation parts have to hold up in the field, on the road, and under pressure. We help teams machine durable components without the runaround.

Why Dun-Rite?

Why Engineers Send Their Prototypes to Dun-Rite

We actually want the prototype work.
Most shops chase high-volume production and treat prototypes like a nuisance. We built our business around short-run and custom work. Your one-off isn't a problem for us — it's what we do.
Fast turnaround without cutting corners.
We take rush orders. We set realistic lead times. And when we commit to a date, we hit it. Predictability is the product.
One shop, from prototype to production.
When you're ready to scale, we're already set up. Same fixtures, same inspection, same people. You don't lose a month re-qualifying a supplier.
Problem-solvers, not order-takers.
You'll talk to a machinist, not a sales rep. If your print has an issue, we'll tell you. If there's a faster way to make the part, we'll tell you.
200+ years of combined experience.
Our team has seen the parts, the materials, and the edge cases. Nothing about your prototype is going to surprise us.
